We are looking for a highly creative, self-starting individual to join our highly skilled and award winning team. You'll help us deliver great elearning solutions to our clients across our wide range of products and contribute to the art direction standards and vision at City & Guilds Kineo.

You’ll have the opportunity to create art direction and animations for an array of clients such as Diageo, Heineken, John Lewis Partnership, TUI, PepsiCo, the list goes on!

It will be your job to interpret our clients’ branding requirements, creating user interface designs and a compelling look and feel for a variety of projects. You’ll work closely with the client, taking briefs and presenting your ideas to them where necessary.

You’ll line manage a team of Graphic Designers and work with them on their personal development and business objectives. You’ll also be accountable for the quality of their work and ensure their workload is effectively and efficiently managed.

 

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be an imaginative and forward thinking team player, who will bring creativity and a fresh perspective to the table. Proactivity in problem solving and communication, as well as the ability to progressively develop ideas, will come naturally to you. You’ll enjoy using pencils and paper to quickly illustrate ideas, and have a good eye for layout and typography.

You will work closely with top class developers and will have a flexible and accommodating approach to design, with the ability to animate with ease. Above all, you will be organised enough to make time to make tea for your colleagues!

The following experience will also be key -

  • Proven experience of graphic design in a digital medium and in a commercial and corporate context
  • Evidence of a strong portfolio of work demonstrating a range of different styles and treatments
  • Able to take and deliver briefs, creating concepts at a high level consistently across a multitude of applications
  • Familiar with working to fixed budgets and timeframes
  • Experienced in Adobe CC, ie: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign and Flash

What will you be doing?

We are looking for Solutions Architects to join our Learning Platforms team. You’ll be working in a project based environment, figuring out how best to customise and configure Totara and Moodle LMS’s to meet our client requirements.

On a day to day basis you’ll:

  • Work closely with clients to understand & analyse their LMS requirements, through discussions, system walk-throughs and documentation
  • Design solutions to meet these requirements, through a combination of existing functionality and customisations
  • Create functional specifications & configuration documents, covering aspects as site architecture, role profiles, contextual diagrams, user journeys and mock-ups

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent client facing skills
  • Ability to lead functional design meetings/workshops
  • Requirements capture and business analysis

About the role

Reporting to the Bid Manager, this role involves working alongside CG Kineo’s Solutions (Sales) and Bid Teams in designing solutions/treatments for proposals (bids) and presentations. The key objective is to help maximise our chances of winning business and of achieving our sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Developing elearning, platform and blended design concepts, based on best practice principles and working within budget, timescale and technical constraints
  • Working alongside Art Directors to develop design walkthroughs and prototypes
  • Writing up design approaches as part of proposals
  • Producing and delivering presentations of design concepts to clients
  • Being a source and voice of elearning and platform design expertise within and outside of CG Kineo
  • Coaching and supporting other designers and consultants on the creation of proposals or pitch materials

What we are looking for

We are looking for proven elearning design skills, preferably with experience in learning needs analysis. The successful candidate will also have:

  • Solid understanding of learning theory
  • Strong creativity
  • Excellent communication skills in all media
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Knowledge of and interest in learning, education and technology
  • Strong IT capabilities in range of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and comfortable with learning new applications

We’re looking for a talented Art Director who will create a compelling look and feel for our marketing collateral.  You will be part of our global marketing team on the front line of the business, responsible for making sure our visual work is eye-catching, market-leading and in line with the City & Guilds Kineo brand.

About you

You must be passionate about creating great design. You will be confident and approachable, willing to work with internal clients. And you’ll have the ability to be assertive, using your experience and knowledge and working with other disciplines to reach a common goal.

You’ll have the chance to work on a range of printed and digital marketing material including infographics, white papers, event collateral and video.

Experience:

  • Proven graphic design experience in a print and digital medium and in a commercial and corporate context

We have an exciting new position for a PHP Developer to come and grow their skills with us in the Learning Platforms team at City & Guilds Kineo. 

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented developer who has a good grounding in programming principles and best practice. You will have at least a years experience working on software development projects, with a good understanding of server side programming using PHP 5 and OOP, but also XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL/PostreSQL. Above all, you’ll be passionate about technology and eager to develop your skills with a leading employer in the learning and performance industry.

It would be a bonus if you had any following experience -

  • Knowledge of; Moodle and/or other Open Source technologies
  • Git for version control
  • Programming frameworks (Silex, CakePHP, Zend, Prototype, Dojo, JQuery)
  • Creative ability to design applications and user interfaces
  • Knowledge of Open Source approach and community aspects
