World Skills Show 2013

The Skills Show is the UK’s biggest skills and careers event, shining a spotlight on the success that talented young people can find through apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. We’re taking part to help inspire the next generation about work-based learning

The Skills Show 2013 will be held at The NEC Birmingham from Thursday 14 – Saturday 16 November.  The highly successful features of National Skills Competitions, Have a Gos, advice and guidance, college and employer exhibitions and a skills’ based conference will all take place again following their popularity in previous years.

In 2012:

  • Around 70,000 people visited The Skills Show
  • 89% of young people enjoyed visiting
  • 1 in 6 young people who attended changed their attitude to pursuing a vocational course
  • 85% of young people would recommend The Skills Show to a friend

City & Guilds Kineo will be at the event to represent what employers are doing for young people’s skills and career development. We’re particularly excited to talk about our new Apprenticeship + programme and get the ball rolling with our Elearning Apprentice Academy.

More details on these and other initiatives will be coming soon and for more information on the event, visit
