As an instructional designer at Kineo, you will be part of an expert team that loves working with clients to turn their pearls of wisdom into sound learning solutions – you get to make them heroes!
We’re looking for someone who gets excited with a grunty conversation about learning theory! Someone who can strike that balance between learner-focused and flexible, experimental and pragmatic, creative and cost-effective, good and evil. Are you the one?
Desired Skills and Experience
We’d like you to have had at least three years in the learning business and have experience writing storyboards and scripts for all learning solutions – including blended.
The following are general areas of responsibility for this role:
- Analysing learning needs and the learning context
- Working with project teams to design effective and engaging blended learning programmes, based on a sound application of instructional design principles.
- Creating learning design specifications to inform the development of the courses
- Developing modules using a range of authoring tools, including Adobe Captivate and Adobe Articulate
- Planning and organising time requirements to complete tasks within budget and timescales

This role is the key to Kineo Pacific’s successful relationships with clients, because our client relationships start with you.
You’ll be the person who goes to see our existing and prospective clients, to understand their challenges and goals. You’ll put the ideas together for how we can partner to meet those challenges. Then you’ll present the proposed solution to win the opportunity to make it our next new project.
It’s a sales role - you will have a target, and you’ll be well rewarded for achieving it and going beyond it. However, we don’t want ‘traditional salespeople’. We want people who are passionate about learning and technology, and who come from a learning background, ideally with first-hand experience of designing, developing, managing and implementing learning solutions.
You’ll be great at communicating, both in proposals and presentations, and at conferences and marketing events. Ideally you will know the elearning and/or the LMS industry well, and have established relationships within it. You’ll be competitive and be thrilled by winning new opportunities to work with our clients. You’ll be great at building relationships with clients and making them feel loved.
