Martyn Sloman is the Adviser in Learning, Training and Development at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He'll be known to many as one of the most reliable and prominent voices in the training and technology space in the UK.

Martyn's new book, The Changing World of the Trainer, will be published in April 2007. He took some time this month to give us a sneak preview of its themes and more besides - including why culture is a dangerous word in learning, the role of e-learning in global organisations, and an anti-hype warning.
