Cammy Bean, VP of Learning Design, Kineo US, is releasing her book, The Accidental Instructional Designer this May at ASTD International Conference & Exposition held in Washington DC, May 4th - 7th.
As an “accidental” instructional designer herself with almost 20 years of hands-on experience, Bean brings both expertise and understanding to ID’s just beginning their career. Covering nearly every aspect of the elearning design process from creating scenarios to building interactivity, Bean’s book is chock full of helpful insight and advice.
“The eLearning industry is filled with people who fell into their roles by accident, myself included,” said Bean, “I wrote this book to help those new to the field get a jumpstart on their instructional design practices, and to inspire people to create eLearning that doesn’t just bore people to tears.”
Coinciding with the release of her book, Bean will be presenting a session at ASTD on Monday, May 5th from 4:00 to 5:15, that will provide insights and helpful tips for fellow “accidental” instructional designers.
