DevLearn 2010 preview

We’re all fired up about DevLearn 2010, kicking off this week in San Francisco. Not only do we get to ride trolley cars between events and eat sourdough bread and Ghirardelli chocolate, but we also get to catch up on all the latest elearning industry buzz, reconnect with a lot of old friends, and forge new connections.Dev Learn 2010 logo

So what do we have on tap, aside from a nice pint of Anchor Steam?

On the Expo Floor

The Kineo team will be out in full force with Steve Lowenthal, Mark Harrison, Steve Rayson, Jonathan Newman and Cammy Bean. Stop by booth #100 to talk Moodle, Totara, elearning design, and see what we’re up to in the custom elearning arena. It’s fresh, it’s sassy, it’s Kineo!

Sneak Previews of Totara

Totara makes its world debut at DevLearn 2010. We’re really excited to start showing off this new open source LMS designed specifically for the corporate market. Come see what all the fuss is about. Can't wait? Have a look here.

As part of this year’s DemoFest, Cammy Bean will be demonstrating a project we created for John Paul Mitchell Systems – yes, the hair company! This colour training program for sales reps includes colour basics, product knowledge, a virtual salon, and a challenge event, all launched through a Moodle portal.

DemoFest happens on Thursday at 5:00—7:00 p.m. Make this one of your first stops at DemoFest! If DemoFest is anything like last year, Cammy will be exhausted before the end and starting to speak in gibberish. (Although that’s usually when things get really interesting...)

Perspectives on Learning: Six Views from Six Thought Leaders

This session is part of the closing keynote on Friday. It’s an Ignite-style showcase – five minutes to share your best idea. Our own Cammy Bean presents along with five other industry notables; Jane Bozarth, Richard Culatta, Gina Schrek, Aaron Silvers and Ellen Wagner. We’ve been told to expect some interpretive dance numbers, so stay tuned for the post-show report.

We’re proud to be a sponsor of DevLearn 2010. If you’ll be in San Francisco on November 2nd—5th, be sure to check in with us at the Kineo Booth (#100) on the Expo floor.
