Kineo Pacific and NZATD Present Free Collaborative Tools Webinar

Kineo Pacific will be presenting a special webinar for the New Zealand Association of Training and Development (NZATD) on August 13 at 7:30pm NZST/5:30 pm AEST, on 'Using Collaborative Tools' as part of NZATD’s Elearning Essentials Programme.

Ira Felinski, Kineo Pacific’s Learning Technologies Consultant, will be presenting the free webinar on Using Collaborative Tools. Ira will cover the essentials of what collaboration is and the basics of using synchronous and asynchronous learning tools that will enable course facilitators to take an organisation’s elearning to the next level.

Social learning is no longer a trendy buzzword in the learning and development world – it’s a forward-thinking approach that gets learners moving away from isolated learning to working through an elearning programme together with their fellow peers. In this webinar, attendees will learn how to unlock the power of Web 2.0 tools like forums, wikis, chats and webinars to turn basic courses into interactive, social learning.

Nigel Young, Learning Technologies Manager says: “The Elearning Essentials Programme was designed to introduce organisations new to elearning to some of the basic principles, systems and approaches as well as tools they can use.  As we’ve moved through the programme, we’ve also attracted some who are more experienced in elearning and learning technologies and it seems it really offers something for everyone. The webinars are completely free and also recorded for those unable to attend. Collaboration is at the heart of good learning and this definitely includes elearning too so it should be a really good session.”

About the Presenter:  Ira Felinski comes to Kineo Pacific with over 7 years of experience within the elearning industry. Ira has most recently worked with the Victoria Police on their elearning initiative where Ira was responsible for developing and implementing the Victoria Police Learning Hub which is delivered state-wide to over 15,000 annually. This project saw Ira head up Australia’s first ever implementation of Totara LMS and to date, is one of the largest deployments in the country. His role with Kineo Pacific is to lead Totara LMS implementations as well as the ongoing work with learning technologies support, administration and consultancy work for the growing list of Australian clients.
