Adapt Learning Wins Platinum Award for Best eLearning Design Technology in Asia Pacific

City & Guilds Kineo is ecstatic to announce that Adapt Learning has received the Platinum Award for Best eLearning Design Technology in Asia Pacific at the 2014 LearnX Impact Awards.

The annual LearnX Impact Awards, run by the non-profit LearnX Foundation, recognizes the industry's top learning and development initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. For the second year in a row, City & Guilds Kineo has won Platinum in this category, Best eLearning Design Technology, for the innovative Adapt framework. This year, it is an honour to have the global Adapt Learning group be recognized by LearnX for the ongoing support and development of the open source Adapt framework.

Adapt Learning is an innovative, collaborative project set up by a group of organisations: City & Guilds Kineo, Learning Pool, and Sponge UK  with the aim of collectively using the power of open source to create and support an industry-leading tool for developing elearning that runs on multiple devices. This approach minimizes the need to compete in developing proprietary frameworks and instead focuses attention on:

  • Using a common best-in-class tool means the partnership concentrates effort on making the tool better, and competing on the quality of design and service, not technology
  • Helping organisations by making the Adapt Framework code open source and easily accessible
  • Creating a global environment; the Adapt Learning community, that encourages the ongoing support of Adapt development, that reaches a community of users and developers that can work together on the project

City & Guilds Kineo has successfully developed responsive elearning programmes using the Adapt Framework for clients such as The Scouts Association, Network Rail, TUI Travel and Compass. Winning the LearnX Platinum Award for Adapt for a second year in a row, signifies the growing interest and move towards enabling a responsive, multi-device approach for elearning in organisations.
