Adapt Learning are inviting technology enthusiasts to join the first ever 24-hour "Adapt Hack" taking place at Culture Tech, on September 17. To compliment this event Adapt Learning collaborators have created a bursary to fund one lucky winner’s attendance.
Culture Tech is a week-long celebration of creative innovation set in the heart of Northern Ireland, Derry. Assembling a range of events, workshops and exhibitions, it’s a chance to learn, share and create with others from across the globe, all whilst learning about the latest technology the industry has to offer.
What is the "Adapt Hack"?
Taking place on September 17, the Adapt Hack is set to put coders to the test, bringing together technical ability and creativity to create something completely new in the open source Adapt framework. Hackers will be challenged to solve a complicated task whilst designing and creating something innovative and imaginative (well, it wouldn’t be Culture Tech without it really…)
Bringing together the Adapt community in this face-to-face environment is a fantastic opportunity for collaborators to meet, discuss challenges and talk about the future of the project. Get set for plenty of sharing, as well as new and fresh ideas on responsive elearning design best practice.
The Adapt Learning project has seen rapid development since its official release in January 2014 as a result of the Community's collaborative efforts. And with an authoring tool set for release by the end of 2014, it’s an exciting time to join the open source project and get involved.
Win Your Place at the Hack
Are you keen to come and join the Adapt Hack, but can’t afford it? Worry not, as one lucky attendee will be able to attend (plus have their travel and accommodation paid for) thanks to a bursary provided by the Adapt Learning collaborators, CG Kineo and Learning Pool.
To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is tell us (in 100 words or less) why you deserve to get the bursary to attend the Adapt Hack at Culture Tech.
Submit your request for the bursary, but make sure you do it quick, as the closing date of September 5 is approaching fast.
Join the Adapt Community
Does all this open source thinking and collaboration get you excited? The Adapt Learning project is always looking for more collaborators to join the open source community. Find out more about the project and how to get involved on the Adapt Community website.
