Sony Europe and Kineo share Totara LMS portal and elearning successes in new case study

Sony Europe and Kineo, leaders in learning solutions,  have worked together to create a new product knowledge portal for users across Europe, along with a range of elearning modules. The collaboration is highlighted in a new case study released this week on the Kineo website. 

Sony are leaders and innovators in developing market leading Broadcast, Professional and Business Solutions, Sony wanted to develop a high quality training solution to deliver product knowledge to their dealers, resellers and customers. Sony’s key objectives were to:

  1. Increase access to training through a cutting edge learning portal 
  2. Create a highly interactive learning experience 
  3. Improve the proficiency of using or installing Sony Professional products
  4. Measure success and improve dealer account management 
Sony chose to partner with Kineo, global leader in learning solutions and part of the City & Guilds group to develop a Product Knowledge platform. Kineo used Totara LMS, the open source LMS for business based on Moodle, co-developed by Kineo. Totara LMS was identified as the perfect fit for it range of functionality, cost effectiveness, great usability and ability to present a high-quality, Sony-branded experience.

Kineo also partnered with Sony to help with the development of a range of focused product knowledge elearning modules, developed in Articulate Studio. Kineo provided the tool, Sony-branded templates and training and Sony are now proficient at producing elearning content in-house.
