KINEO NEWSLETTER Contents this month: 1. Market update: Our survey says… Hi, The newsletter’s going out live today from the Learning and Skills Group conference here in salubrious West London (really – I’m on the stand right now. If you’re here and you just got this on your blackberry - well let’s meet up already). It’s a great event, with community of learning and development professionals, all here to share ideas for pushing learning forward through technology and collaboration. We’re delighted to be one of the conference sponsors. The theme here is ‘Building together’. We’re on theme too, as this month we’re talking about collaboration, communities and future trends, from survey findings to our own Kineo community tools. Enjoy this month’s update and get in touch if you’ve got ideas for future newsletters. Best, Stephen
1. Market update: Our survey says…If we’re going to find out about future trends, talking to the market is a good start. We did just that, using the free tool Survey Monkey to ask the same questions that some much larger surveys did, just to see if they were accurate by our standards. Cheeky monkeys, you might say…(though maybe better not to). 2. Authoring tools: What are you after?End of one survey, start of another. We’re doing some interesting work on authoring tools at the moment. There’s a wide range of different ones as you well know. So what elements are actually important to you? Is collaboration key, or a sideshow? Let us know and we’ll share the results and more next month: 3. Book review: We-Think – do you?If you want to talk collaboration and technology, Charles Leadbeater’s book/wiki makes an interesting read. You are what you share, he says. Sharing Steve Rayson has a look at what that means for learning. 4. Thinking like us: Kineo Academy up closeIt’s a standing joke in the e-learning business that we’re all the shoemaker’s children when it comes to providing e-learning for themselves – we’re the last target audience on the list. We’ve been thinking about it differently – that’s why we’ve started the Kineo Academy. This month, we share some insights into how it’s working. 5. Kineo growth: new offices…room for you?Our Kineo community is expanding too. To provide a platform for our substantial growth, this week we’re moving into a substantial new head office premises in Brighton. We’re delighted to bring our team into our new office and we look forward to welcoming our clients to our new space, at 100 Queens Road in Brighton. Is there room for you in our new office, in Brighton or Sheffield? We are currently recruiting at our Sheffield and Brighton offices for:
Great people are the heart and soul of Kineo – we’re looking for the talented, the experienced and the exceptional. We offer a great working environment, competitive compensation and the opportunity to work with great clients and the most talented team in e-learning. Sound right for you? Then get in touch.
