The Kineo Newsletter Kineo US: ASTD and free seminars Boston and Chicago Hi, End of April. That was fast. We should get out more – which is pretty much what we’re doing over the next few months. We’re getting out to the US - permanently - to open our first US office. It’s going to be great to be on the ground. More about that in the next issue. Right now we’re announcing a series of seminars in the US, and we’re looking forward to meeting our US clients and new friends there. We’ve been doing our research too – we’ve been looking at Gen-Y learners and how best to engage them on their terms. See our insight and sliderocket this month, and let us know what you think. We’re also looking at where US and European approaches to e-learning (or eLearning) are similar and different, and what we can learn from each other. Be great to see you at the seminars, or any of the upcoming talks and events in the UK. Come and join us on our road trip. We’ll do all the driving. Best, 1. Kineo US: Meet us in DC, Boston and ChicagoKineo’s US office will open officially later in May. We’re really looking forward to working on the ground with our current US clients, and to meeting many of you who’ve been in contact already. We’ll make some announcements shortly about our US team. But ahead of that, here are a few dates for your blackberry: Come and meet us at ASTD International Conference and Exposition in Washington DC from May 31st to June 3rd. We’ll be sharing examples of our award-winning e-learning approach, and meeting many US clients and new friends. More info here: http://www.astd2009.org/ We’re also running three free seminars in the US in June: Boston, June 9th: Chicago, June 11th: It’d be great to see you at one of these events (and even greater to see you at all of them). Find out more at http://www.kineo.com/kineo-press-releases/kineo-us-e-learning-seminars.html or email us at info@kineo.com for more. Places are free, but limited. Stay tuned for more US announcements shortly. 2. Kineo insight: Generation Y – so not into your learningAre you Gen-Y? Probably not if you’re reading this on a computer. How 1998 is that? We’ve been thinking about the future generation of knowledge workers and leaders, and how they connect and learn – and what are you going to do about it? Last month, Mark Harrison presented at a session on Montenegro (yes, we get around) on this topic. 3. Market update: US, Europe, E-learning and eLearningGen Y as a term started in the US of course. We’ve recently been looking at other US trends in the e-learning market, and seeing where the differences and similarities are with UK and Europe – and what we can learn from each other. Click here for more. 4. Top tips: look and listenWe’ve been top tipping for 22 weeks now (gotta love the alliteration). Recently we’ve been looking at audio and video, and how to make the most of them in your e-learning. Read these and all our top tips here. 5. Moodle wins: The world’s favorite LMSOne thing the US, the UK and pretty much everyone else is agreed on: Moodle rules. And now (according to E-learning guild) it’s official. Find out why you do not want to be in the commercial LMS business with our Moodle update. 6. Kineo talking: catch us on the roadIf Montenegro was too far, and the US dates don’t suit you, how about joining us at any of the other upcoming talks and conferences where we’ll be over the next few weeks:
