Free tools for Rapid E-learning: Let’s mash it up 5. E-learning market update: A tale of two markets Editor's note: Hi, We’re all in tense pre-Christmas budget calculations no doubt, so it’s nice to get something for nothing in this most commercial of seasons. We don the santa hat (way too early, I know) to give you: If we’re about anything, it’s free thinking…. Best, --------------------------------------------------- >> 1. Free Rapid E-learning module: The 60 Minute Masters If Rapid E-learning’s such a key development in e-learning, why has nobody produced a Rapid E-learning module about how to design it? It’s no longer a rhetorical question. Kineo has collaborated with Clive Shepherd and Cammy Bean to create the 60 Minute Masters. The course provides subject experts and designers with the skills and knowledge you need to design engaging Rapid E-learning. We’ve set up a moodle LMS where you can register in a few seconds, then access the course and resources for free. Access 60 Minute Masters here: www.kineolearning.com/60minutemasters. Kineo built the 60 Minute Masters in less than a week. If you’d like to see your e-learning completed at that pace, contact us at info@kineo.com to learn more. >> 2. Audio interview: 60 Minute Masters director’s commentary The story of the 60 Minute Masters has several lessons about the practicalities of Rapid E-learning, from how a wiki was used to collaborate on content, to how the process was different from traditional e-learning. To get ready for the Christmas DVD release (giftwapping now available), we caught up with Clive Shepherd to learn more about the background to the 60 Minute Masters. You can hear the conversation here: http://www.kineo.com/audio-downloads/clive-on-60-minute-masters.html
>> 3. Rapid E-learning processes: What we told the MOD Staying with processes, we were recently invited to speak at a Ministry of Defence conference on the steps involved in developing Rapid E-learning. The feedback from our presentation was a confirmation that the Rapid E-learning process is very different – and better – than traditional methods. We even managed to refer to Rolf Harris, surely a first in e-learning design…. We’ve shared our presentation here: http://www.kineo.com/rapid-elearning-briefings/rapid-elearning-processes.html Want to bring these processes into your organisation? Kineo can help with capability building for your team. Contact us at info@kineo.com to find out more. >> 4. Free tools for Rapid E-learning: Let’s mash it up We’ve been out spreading the word a lot this month. From MOD it was off to present at the E-learning Network, this time on the best free and low cost tools for Rapid E-learning, and how best to create your own Rapid E-learning mash-up. See our top recommendations and access the demo portal where we showcase several of these tools here: http://www.kineo.com/insights/free-elearning-eln.html We’ll be talking a lot more about Rapid E-learning techniques and tools at UK conference Learning Technologies on January 30th and 31st, including a free seminar where we’ll explain how to make Rapid E-learning a reality. Hope to see you there. ------------------------------------------------- >> 5. Market update: A tale of two markets It’s a tale of two markets this month, as Steve Rayson explains in his review of who’s fighting fit and who’s holding onto the ropes. Find out more here.
