Editor's note:

Hi,

They say October is the knuckle-down month in e-learning. We couldn’t agree more. The clocks may have gone back, but time marches forward. Everyone’s keen to make deadlines happen in the run-in to year end. The pace is quickening – and as the Rapid E-learning specialists, we like it that way. If you’ve not had time to think rapid yet (savour the irony for a nanosecond), let us help you with:

-A free report on how to design Rapid E-learning
-A review of a new book on applying rapid approaches
-A roadtest of a new tool for rapid informal learning
-A sample of Rapid E-learning for one of our clients

If you’ve ideas for future newsletters, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch at newsletter@kineo.com

Best,
Stephen

1. Free report: How to Design Rapid E-learning

Is there time for design in Rapid E-learning? You better believe it. In our new free report, we explain the three ways in which Rapid E-learning Design is different -- and better -- than traditional e-learning methods. You start in a different place, get to a first version faster, and take a completely different approach to release and updates. In short: you get there faster.

Get the free report on Designing Rapid E-learning here:

Kineo can help bring rapid e-learning into your organisation, as we’ve done for BP, Google, Cable & Wireless, BP and others. Contact us at info@kineo.com or on 01273 728 900 for more.

2. Book review: Rapid E-learning from Michael Allen

We’re not alone in feeling that Rapid E-learning is the way forward. Michael Allen is the CEO of Allen Interactions and the man who put forward the ADDIE model which so many e-learning companies have adopted over the years. In his new book, he rejects that model, and argues that Rapid prototyping is a better way. Not that you need to argue with us about that….

Read the book review here.

At Kineo we believe that rapid prototyping can get you there faster. Is your business demanding an effective e-learning module in three weeks or less? We can say yes, which means you can too. Find out more by contacting info@kineo.com.

3. Rapid e-learning road-test: Flockpod review and interview

One of the key differences in Rapid E-learning design is the approach we take to keeping e-learning live and relevant to learners. Flockpod is a new tool from Harbinger (the people behind Raptivity) which can help with informal learning on any web page.

Read our review of Flockpod here.

Want to hear more? We interviewed Vikas Joshi, Chairman of Harbinger to get his view on their new tool.

Want to develop podcasts for your organisation? Kineo can help with podcast and vodcast development and training for your team, as we’ve done for Cable & Wireless, Crown Prosecution Service and others. Contact us at info@kineo.com

4. Rapid E-learning sampler: Protecting young people

We’re talking a lot about Rapid E-learning this month – but as we’ve said elsewhere this month, it’s better to see it in action. Kineo recently developed a Rapid E-learning module for FPM Learning. FPM have developed the programme in association with the Fire Service College in association with the National Youth Agency on safeguarding young people. You can have a look at a demo version here:

Kineo can apply rapid e-learning techniques to accelerate learning in your organisation, reducing costs and accelerating response rates as we’ve done for BP, Marks & Spencer and others. Contact us at info@kineo.com to find out more.

5. Market update: Can you feel the buzz?

There’s a lot of activity in the market at the moment, and as usual Steve Rayson’s been tracking the movers and shakers. Find out what’s happening, and who’s sharing some interesting white papers here:
