Editor's note: Hi, We’ve slightly delayed our October issue to today, so that people coming back from half term in the UK don’t miss a beat – and of course so we can get our message out in the final news cycle before the US goes to the polls. We’re campaigning hard for rapid e-learning, of course. Our free guide lays out five reasons to invest in rapid e-learning right now. If you’re still undecided, maybe e-learning’s positive impact on the environment can swing your vote. Have a look at the e-learning we’ve created with ITU to find out more. With a market update, top tips for implementing e-learning and more, you can’t say you were uninformed as you approach the ballot box… Best Stephen 1. Free guide: Rapid e-learning – a modest prospectus It’s hard to know where to invest right now. Under the bed’s looking good. Might we suggest another option though? With the IPO market in hibernation, we’ve created our own prospectus for one growth market worth anyone’s money: rapid e-learning. You can download the free guide with five reasons to invest in rapid e-learning here: 2. E-learning example: ITU module on climate change and e-learning One of the key benefits of e-learning is that it reduces the carbon footprint of organisations. The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) is the leading United Nations agency for information and communication technologies, and is taking the issue of climate change seriously. Kineo has partnered with ITU to develop a short, sharp e-learning module highlighting the issue of climate change, and how e-learning can help its members move to being carbon neutral. You can see the module here: 3. Kineo 50 insights: Feedback to basics People learn from mistakes – as long as the feedback’s clear. As part of our weekly series of Kineo Insight tips in collaboration with the E-learning Centre, we’ve been looking at feedback and how to make it helpful to your learners. Read all of the Kineo 50 insights here: 4. Market update: Ambient times for e-learning? In this month’s market update, we take a look at a recent report from Ambient Insight on the state of the e-learning market. While it’s a bit grim on e-learning in general, it highlights some key growth areas in the market, including rapid e-learning and open source. We couldn’t agree more… Read the market update here. What’s your market update? Take a few minutes to participate in our survey. This month we’re looking at e-learning during the crunch – how are you keeping agile in challenging times? Let us know here, we’ll share results next month. 5. Implementing e-learning: Take part in the survey How to implement e-learning in the workplace? Towards Maturity can help answer that big question. They’re running an in-depth survey on this key topic. We caught up with Laura Overton of Towards Maturity to find out more about the survey, and why it makes sense to invest some time in taking part. Hear our discussion with Laura and take part in their benchmark review here: 6. World of Learning Awards: Kineo and C&W nominated We’re pleased to announce we’ve been shortlisted for the Rapid E-learning award for the World of Learning Awards – that’s two in a row, following last month’s shortlisting for the E-learning Age awards. Our congratulations to all at C&W and Kineo for their great work on these rapid projects. Find out more about the World of Learning Awards here: 7.
