Hi,

Usually we start a September issue talking about how we can expect change with the new season. However, it seems the global markets have done the talking for us...

What’s the role of learning in turbulent times like these? It should be as a tool to stay ahead of the changes - certainly not lag behind them. More than ever, you need the means to deliver at pace.

This month we bring you some ideas for how to ensure your e-learning can support change, through a free guide on rapid blends, a case study how BP stays ahead with Kineo rapid e-learning, and an invitation to join us discussing how e-learning can make your organisation more agile.

All change here - hope you’re enjoying the ride…

Best,

Stephen

1. Free guide: How to design rapid e-learning blends

Last month we shared a free guide on how to manage change through a rapid approach to identifying training needs. Now it’s time to get down to the business of designing rapid blends that make change happen. This month’s free guide shares some practical ways to design effective rapid blends.

Download the free guide here.

2. Case study: World class design for BP

One organisation that takes the potential of rapid e-learning seriously is BP. Kineo has been working with BP for over three years, innovating in rapid e-learning and blended learning design. In a new case study, we share how we’ve collaborated with BP to create a ‘world-class design’ for blended learning in a key business area.

Read the case study here.

3. Kineo seminar: Join us in London on November 12th

Want to find out more about how your business can benefit from rapid approaches, as BP, Cable&Wireless, O2 and HSBC have? We’re running a seminar in London on November 12th to share insights into how we’ve partnered with these organisations to help ensure their e-learning stays agile – and we’re inviting you to join us.

Find out more about the event and register your interest here. (Sorry, now full.)

4. Learning and Skills Group webinar: What we said about Moodle

Last week Kineo and our sister company Kineo Open Source ran a Webinar as part of our support of the Learning and Skills Group. On the agenda: Moodle. We think it’s got amazing potential as an open source LMS, and the 150 or so people who joined the session agreed.

Find out what we discussed here.

5. Kineo 50 insights: Mistakes are good

We like to share our views, and we’ve been doing it once a week in the Kineo 50 insights, in collaboration with the E-learning Centre. This week, we’ve been looking at why mistakes, while not ideal if you’re running the economy, are great raw material for e-learning.

Read the Kineo 50 e-learning insights here.

6. Market update: E-learning during the storm

Steve Rayson looks at how the current financial turmoil can create both risk and opportunity for e-learning companies. He looks at the fundamentals that all e-learning buyers and vendors should focus on, and explores an interesting development in Dublin.

Read this month’s market update here.

7. E-learning Age Awards: Going for the double

Our own market update: we’re delighted to have been nominated twice for the E-learning Age Awards this year, for Rapid E-learning Solution of the year for our work with Cable&Wireless, and for E-learning Company of the Year. We’d like to thank the whole Kineo team for their dedication and fantastic work with our clients this year. We’re looking forward to a great night at the event in November.
