Moodle Update - 1.6 Now Available
Martin Dougiamas and people continue to do a great job developing Moodle. Version 1.6 is now out and includes many new features including blogs. We also like the add in Skype blocks that have been created by the Moodle community.

Moodle continues to go from strength to strength. Clive Shepherd is another advocate of Moodle. On his blog he states "Starting as a complete beginner, I have found Moodle extremely easy to learn (in spite of pretty awful online help) and I have been able to create what I want in surprisingly little time. The system is essentially free but is easily customisable and configurable and offers the following:

  • Forums
  • Real-time chat
  • Delivery and tracking of SCORM-compliant materials
  • RSS news feeds
  • Wikis
  • Glossaries
  • Messaging
  • Calendars
  • Quizzes
  • Audio, video, Flash support
  • Assignments

If you haven't yet tried Moodle, download it and have a play; or call us and we will give you access to one of our demo installations.

You can also buy books on using Moodle from Amazon by clicking on this link Moodle Books or you can buy them from the Kineo Bookstore.
