We have not been overly impressed with previous free authoring tools but we took eXe for a test run and began to see the potential. The future looks bright.  At this rate, is anything not going to be open source by next Christmas?

Ever wanted to create a timeline? We recently had a play with Xtimeline which allows you to create free timelines quickly and easily. The tool is currently free to use, and although the output is hosted by Xtimeline you can create a link to it as we have done below. Ideal if you want to use it as a resource in your Moodle or other online environment.
