Brighton-based with UK travel

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised person to join our team.

The marketing coordinator role is the linchpin for the marketing outreach and communications of City & Guilds Kineo and will be reporting in to the Marketing Manager.

You’ll join the marketing team to help make shape and bring our brand to life across the UK and support our international teams. It will be your role to work with our team to ensure marketing campaigns and events are executed across multiple channels to create in-bound leads that drive the sales and overall growth of the business.

Our channels range from online activities powered by our website and social media presence, to live events, PR and advertising. You’ll be involved in the administration of all these areas and coordinating our activity across them.

Ensuring the foundations are built solidly and maintained is also key, so you’ll be the main point of contact for our CRM system and work closely with the sales teams to ensure that marketing leads are turned into part of our growing customer base.

You’ll be helping to develop campaigns for different market segments and tracking what works best to connect and convert to lead opportunities.

You’ll organise campaigns and events to promote our presence and help us connect with the right audiences. You’ll have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team that’s part of fast paced organisation.

You’ll be organised with an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task. But you’ll also have some flair and imagination for the creative elements of the role.

Brighton-based with travel prospects

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised person to join our team. Someone who can manage a number of projects, ensuring they are resourced appropriately and perform to margin, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.

Specifically, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for the client on a day-to-day basis delivering to our high levels of customer service
  • Ensure projects follow appropriate processes from handover through to delivery, and adhere to Kineo’s ISO quality management system
  • Monitor the financial performance of your projects, identifying risks and mitigations
  • Assist in ensuring projects are resourced appropriately and efficiently
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency on projects to increase profitability, or opportunities to add value for our clients

You will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a project manager in the design and development of e-learning or digital products – preferably for a range of different organisations
  • Leadership skills: proven ability to organise and manage the work of others
  • Client handling skills: proven ability to lead on client relationships
  • Management and organisation: self-managing and capable of managing a number of projects profitably, and organising resources accordingly
  • Commercial: proven ability to manage projects successfully within budget and deliver on time
  • Communication skills: great written and verbal communications with our clients and project teams
  • Strong IT capabilities in range of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Though based in Brighton, you’ll need to be able to travel to meet our clients typically but not exclusively in the UK. We also base some projects in the City & Guilds main office in central London.

The Hosting & Support division at City & Guilds Kineo is growing quickly, now supporting over 100 clients worldwide. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and talented Support Account Manager to join the team and take responsibility for a number of large corporate support accounts.

Day-to-day you’ll be proactively managing and developing client support relationships, ensuring client requirements and commercial targets are met, and supporting the Head of Hosting & Support in further growing the UK division.

You’ll be joining a friendly team of Support Account Managers and Support Engineers, working out of our Brighton HQ in close collaboration with our Sales and Development teams.

To perform this role effectively you will need:

The Hosting & Support division at City & Guilds Kineo is growing quickly, now supporting over 100 clients worldwide. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and talented Support Engineer (Application) to join our Core support team. Day-to-day you will provide City & Guilds Kineo clients with expert technical help and support, ensuring the effective operation of their hosted applications. You will maintain a proactive approach towards fixing complex technical issues and managing the correct implementation of processes and security controls, all within the bounds of strict service level agreements.

Note: this role may involve an element of shift work, to provide extended hours cover when required.

To perform this role effectively you will need:

Our core business involves customising Moodle and Totara Learning Management Systems (LMS), creating learning portals using Open Source CMS platforms, and working with a variety of supporting technologies to meet our clients' requirements.

Job Description

We are looking for mid-level programmers who are skilled in at least one language or platform, with a good working knowledge of data persistence (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL), back-end (e.g. PHP, Python, Java), front-end (JavaScript, HTML, CSS). 

You’ll probably have a background in traditional software engineering (either academic or commercial experience) and must be comfortable applying fundamental object-oriented design principles. You may also have an understanding of design principles (such as SOLID), and will definitely have a keen appreciation for clean, decoupled, testable code. 

Our projects range from modest enhancements to existing Moodle and Totara functionality, to large-scale implementations that require the development of complex plugins and the integration of multiple systems, including open-source CMSs. Commonly, our customisations are built in an MVC architecture using PHP microframeworks to route requests. 

You will be working on different projects using a number of technologies that include Backbone.js, Jasmine JS, REST API, jQuery Mobile, Silex and others.The right candidates will be enthusiastic about web development, keen to learn and share their knowledge, and looking to build upon their career in a supportive and creative environment.

Skills Range:

The Solutions Consultant role is the key to City & Guilds Kineo’s successful relationships with clients, because our client relationships start with you.

You’ll be the person who goes to see our existing and prospective clients, to understand their challenges and goals. You’ll put the ideas together for how we can partner to meet those challenges and then you’ll present the proposed solution to win the opportunity to make it our next new project. You’ll work with our production teams to ensure they’re involved during the process – and you’ll stay involved to ensure successful delivery to our client’s objectives. 

It’s a sales role - you will have a target, and you’ll be well rewarded for achieving it and going beyond it. But we don’t want just ‘traditional salespeople’. We want people who are passionate about learning and technology, and who ideally have first-hand experience of designing, developing, managing and implementing solutions. 

You’ll be great at communicating, both in proposals and pitches, and at tradeshows and marketing events. Ideally you will know the elearning and/or the LMS industry well, and will build relationships within it. You’ll be competitive and be thrilled by winning new opportunities to work with our clients. You’ll be great at building relationships with clients and making them feel loved.
