Pro-Bono and Charity Work
At Kineo, we understand the importance of giving back to our communities. In fact, it’s one of our core values.
In addition to supporting various community projects from our offices across the globe, each year we also undertake a major pro-bono project where we give our time for free to develop a community e-learning project.

MS Society (UK)
In 2011, Kineo have selected the Multiple Sclerosis Society as its community e-learning project and proud to work in partnership to develop and deliver an e-learning programme to enable volunteer’s to give quality information to people affected by MS.

Whizz-Kidz (UK)
Kineo’s Sheffield office showed their community spirit in 2011 working with Whizz-Kidz to produce a website complete with e-learning for young wheelchair users across the UK.
It is great to know that we have been able to produce something of value for young people with disabilities, and you can find out more about the project here: www.whizz-kidz.org.uk/ and we'll have the case study available shortly.

MacMillan Cancer Support (UK)
In 2010, Kineo partnered with MacMillan Cancer Support to produce a series of modules on dealing with cancer.

Great Ormond Street Hospital (UK)
In 2009, we worked with great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) on a project to help encourage 11-16 year olds to take more physical exercise.
The result was an engaging Learning Portal based on Moodle LMS and a wide-range of e-learning, toolkits and videos.
Marcella McEvoy of GOSH said: “The new GET FIT learning dimension will play a key role in supporting our overall strategy to promote the benefits of physical activity, and encourage more young people to participate in sport. We are very grateful to Kineo for their generous support, creative input and dedication to this project.”
GET FIT will engage its target audience and change their behaviour and understanding of health and exercise, in line with the National Curriculum and ‘Healthy Schools’ programme.

Immigraton Advocates Network (US)
2011 saw the US office work on their first community project, producing the e-learning tutorials for the Immigration Advocates Network’s (IAN) CitizenshipWorks.
The Immigration Advocates Network (IAN) is a collaborative effort of leading national immigration advocacy and legal support organizations designed to increase access to justice for low-income immigrants.
Developed in partnership with support from the Silicon Valley Community Fund and the Grove Foundation, CitizenshipWorks is available in English and Spanish.
It provides easy-to-use online tools to help low income individuals understand the naturalization process, their eligibility for it, and prepare for the naturalization tests. There is also a separate area that is used by immigration legal service organizations.
