Our growing team in Brighton is looking for someone who can drive a model enabling us to meet flexible resource needs of the business, ensuring a suitable pipeline of people is available to work on our wide range of e-learning, L&D, and LMS projects.

You’ll be working with the teams to help them find the right resources and suppliers for their projects, and going out and meeting potential suppliers – freelancers, contractors, outsource partners – and matching them to our needs. These might be writers, art directors, programmers, web developers, translation companies, or voice over artists - as well as the unexpected. You'll also work with our HR team to support our recruitment. If you’re a people person, with a commercial focus, who enjoys problem solving, this is a great opportunity to get involved in all parts of our business, including liaising with our teams in the US and Pacific.

Brighton or London based

We are looking for Learning Management Systems consultant to join our Learning Platforms team on an 8 month contract, based out of either our London or Brighton office. 

You’ll be working in a project based environment, figuring out how best to customise and configure Totara and Moodle LMS’s to meet our client requirements.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll:

  • Work closely with clients to understand & analyse their LMS requirements, through discussions, system walk-throughs and documentation
  • Design solutions to meet these requirements, through a combination of existing functionality and customisations
  • Create functional specifications & configuration documents, covering aspects as site architecture, role profiles, contextual diagrams, user journeys and mock-ups

We are looking for someone with the following key skills and experience:

  • Excellent client facing skills
  • Experience in implementing LMS’s and/or other formal and informal learning platforms
  • Ability to lead functional design meetings/workshops
  • Requirements capture and business analysis
  • Solution design & problem solving

The Hosting & Support (Services) division at City & Guilds Kineo is growing quickly, now supporting over 100 clients worldwide. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and talented Application Engineer to join the team and provide technical support across a broad range of installations.

Day-to-day you’ll be providing clients and internal teams with high quality technical support, focusing on Totara LMS. We pride ourselves on the first-class service we offer our customers.

You will take a proactive approach towards the correct implementation of process and security controls, ensuring the stability and effectiveness of sites we manage. You will fulfill a key role that will help place City & Guilds Kineo as the default choice for global Totara hosting and support.

You’ll be joining a friendly team, working out of our Brighton HQ in close collaboration with our Sales, Learning Content and Learning Platforms teams.

Note: this role may involve an element of shift work, to provide extended hours cover when required.

Essential Skills:

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the build of responsive HTML elearning courses – which will be created mainly using the Open Source Adapt Learning framework.

You’ll be working with elearning designers and graphic artists to make their designs a reality, supported in your work by a highly-skilled team of front-end developers and programmers, project managers and testers.

The Solutions Consultant role is the key to City & Guilds Kineo’s successful relationships with clients, because our client relationships start with you.

You’ll be the person who goes to see our existing and prospective clients, to understand their challenges and goals. You’ll put the ideas together for how we can partner to meet those challenges and then you’ll present the proposed solution to win the opportunity to make it our next new project. You’ll work with our production teams to ensure they’re involved during the process – and you’ll stay involved to ensure successful delivery to our client’s objectives. 

It’s a sales role - you will have a target, and you’ll be well rewarded for achieving it and going beyond it. But we don’t want just ‘traditional salespeople’. We want people who are passionate about learning and technology, and who ideally have first-hand experience of designing, developing, managing and implementing solutions. 

You’ll be great at communicating, both in proposals and pitches, and at tradeshows and marketing events. Ideally you will know the elearning and/or the LMS industry well, and will build relationships within it. You’ll be competitive and be thrilled by winning new opportunities to work with our clients.
