Are you a dab hand at testing complex system code? Do you have experience leading testing team professionals, across multiple testing disciplines? Do you love the challenge of driving improvement in test processes? We’re seeking a consummate professional to become Head of Testing and Quality Assurance within City & Guilds Kineo.

As Head of Testing and Quality Assurance, you will provide industry leading testing services across our Learning Content, Learning Platforms and Client Services teams.

Your regular tasks will include the following:

  • Defining and implementing best practice in the testing and quality assurance teams, driving continuous improvement
  • Taking the lead role in ensuring best practice in accessibility and usability
  • Taking accountability for commercial performance of the testing and quality assurance teams, including utilisation of staff and delivery of services within budgets
  • Leading the creation of professional test documentation for both internal and external clients, ensuring content and quality meet accepted industry standards
  • Acting as gatekeeper for ensuring all client deliverables are fit-for-purpose, consistently meeting quality and performance requirements; this includes software releases, learning module scripts, visual design work and documentation
  • Taking a lead role in provision of testing on larger projects, as required
  • Recruiting, managing and developing a team of skilled testing professionals, equipped with the knowledge and tools required to provide an industry-leading testing and quality assurance service
  • Monitoring the ongoing testing resource requirements of each business function, ensuring timely availability of test team personnel
  • Ensuring appropriate levels of ongoing training and development for test team personnel, maintaining expert knowledge of testing tools, methodologies and practices
  • Acting as primary escalation point for clients and colleagues, ensuring all testing and quality assurance related questions or concerns are acted upon efficiently and professionally, within agreed SLAs (as applicable)

Do you enjoy the hustle and bustle of administration in a high paced technical environment? Are you brilliant at managing team bookings, talking to clients, producing data reports and chasing purchase orders and invoices, all at the same time? Are you a stickler for time keeping, with a penchant for data accuracy and multi-tasking, yet can remain calm and composed at all times?

Yes? Well, we’re seeking a tenacious Client Services Administrator to join our Client Services team.

As a Client Services Administrator, you’ll provide administrative support within the Client Services team. Your regular tasks will include the following:

  • Maintain database of clients and their services
  • Obtain purchase orders from clients and ensure accurate and timely invoices are issued
  • Use internal systems (Excel based) to compile and distribute reports
  • Answer first line telephone calls from clients, referring to colleagues as required
  • Take accountability for the setup and renewal of client accounts e.g. for ‘Essentials+’
  • Assist with the arranging and maintaining of Client Services’ personnel bookings
  • Reconcile supplier invoices with client services provided, to ensure accurate billing
  • Help maintain internal policies, processes and associated documents
  • Support the Head of Client Services with various tasks as required

The role also includes provision of invoicing support to CGK’s Operations function, as required, in an office with ~120 people.

You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team, working in our Brighton HQ in close collaboration with the Sales, Learning Content and Learning Platforms teams.

We are looking for a front-end developer to join our in-demand Learning Platforms division based in either Brighton or Sheffield.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining custom themes on Moodle and Totara, troubleshooting issues with existing themes, and advising other members of the team on best practice in regard to front-end development. You will work collaboratively with other members of the team, including server-side programmers, graphic designers, solutions architects and project managers to achieve project goals, to share knowledge & ideas, and to develop your own skills further. You will have an enthusiasm for web development, for cutting-edge technologies, and an appreciation for clean and robust design.  

To be considered for this role, you must have solid experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery. We also use a number of supporting technologies to implement desktop, mobile and responsive designs, including Bootstrap, LESS, jQuery, and Twig for templating, so any experience in these would also be welcomed.

We're looking for experienced learning consultants and designers (both freelance and permanent) to support or growing consultancy and design team in a varied mix of consultancy assignments and design projects. We'd love to hear from you if you're looking for new opportunities to help customers find great solutions, and work with us in using exciting new technologies.

For the Designer roles:

  • You’ll work consultatively with clients, our sales team, and the learning content/elearning team
  • Precise duties and responsibilities will vary according to your experience and particular role but include scoping content, designing treatments, and scriptwriting
  • At least 1 year's experience of elearning and/or virtual classroom design is required
  • Strong communication skills are essential

For the Consultant roles:

  • You'll work consultatively with clients, our sales team and the learning content/elearning team, providing strategic advice and setting projects up for success
  • At least 3 year's experience of elearning and blended design is required
  • Strong communication and consultative skills are essential

The Solutions Consultant role is the key to City & Guilds Kineo’s successful relationships with clients, because our client relationships start with you.

You’ll be the person who goes to see our existing and prospective clients, to understand their challenges and goals. You’ll put the ideas together for how we can partner to meet those challenges and then you’ll present the proposed solution to win the opportunity to make it our next new project. You’ll work with our production teams to ensure they’re involved during the process – and you’ll stay involved to ensure successful delivery to our client’s objectives. 

It’s a sales role - you will have a target, and you’ll be well rewarded for achieving it and going beyond it. But we don’t want just ‘traditional salespeople’. We want people who are passionate about learning and technology, and who ideally have first-hand experience of designing, developing, managing and implementing solutions. 

You’ll be great at communicating, both in proposals and pitches, and at tradeshows and marketing events. Ideally you will know the elearning and/or the LMS industry well, and will build relationships within it. You’ll be competitive and be thrilled by winning new opportunities to work with our clients. You’ll be great at building relationships with clients and making them feel loved.
