Health and Safety Elearning
Health and Safety laws apply to all businesses and breaching the legislation can lead to a criminal conviction. As an employer you are responsible for the application of Health and Safety in your organisation. Your employees are entitled to work in an environment where risks are properly managed.
Workers also have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions. Individuals who do not comply with their employer's Health and Safety policy could be personally prosecuted.
This 190-minute elearning course provides learners with an overview of health and safety in the workplace. This course is split into three sections. The course first covers how to take fire safety precautions and how to conduct risk assessments. It also explores areas like DSE, workplace injuries, manual handling, COSHH regulations and workplace transport. And finally topics such as stress management, offsite working, working at home and requirements for electricity, temperature, lighting and sound.
All three courses can be taken as stand-alone learning but it is recommended learners complete the remaining sections of the h&s training programme to gain a full understanding.
The online course deals specifically with UK regulations, although core principles and guidance can be applied in any country.
After completing this course, your employees will be able to:
- Identify current health and safety legislation and risk assessments as well as which fire safety precautions should be carried out in the workplace
- Identify how incorrect usage of DSE can affect your health and specify how COSHH regulations impact health and safety at work
- Recognise and specify health and safety measures for wellbeing at work.
This course has been recognised by leaders in skills, City and Guilds and the course content is also certified for Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
