Online Safeguarding Young People Training

Course overview

Whether you are an employer, learner or colleague, it's vital to be able to identify harm, abuse and exploitation, and more importantly to act upon it appropriately. This is where safeguarding comes in; safeguarding is about protecting the vulnerable and putting actions in place to ensure their safety.

This 45-minute elearning course will help define the concept of safeguarding and the different types of abuse learners may witness. This safeguarding training will teach learners about the legislation and policies that protect the vulnerable, how to spot when harm, abuse or exploitation maybe taking place and how to act upon should you need to.

The course is suitable for anyone working with young adults, specifically those involved in training. It focuses on UK regulations, although core principles and guidelines can be applied in any country.

Learning outcomes

After completing this online training, your employees will be able to:

  • Define the concept of safeguarding young people from harm, abuse and exploitation
  • Identify the legislation, policies and support in place to safeguard children, young people and adults from abuse
  • State how to respond to allegations of harm, abuse and exploitation.
