Kineo wins Best eLearning Development Company in 2016 LearnX Awards
Kineo Pacific has once again been recognised for excellence in eLearning by winning six (yes, six!) awards in the 2016 LearnX impact awards.
We are particularly delighted to have won a platinum award in the ‘Best Learning Services - eLearning Development Company’award category. Our continual work to improve processes around projects and services for our clients has been recognised with this award. The focus of this award is on an eLearning development company that has created a high-quality ‘industry specific project’ for client/s using expert talent, innovative practices, technical capability and support mechanisms. I’m proud to lead a team with such an array of talent and capability across both learning consultancy, content and learning platforms – and this award is reflection of the hard work the team put in to each and every project we deliver.
The 'Best eLearning Development Company' award focuses on a project we worked on with Takeda, a global pharmaceutical company based in Japan and Singapore. With limited opportunity for the AU/NZ team to engage face-to-face with the client, collaboration and design meetings were conducted twice a week over Skype or GoToMeeting. It’s a testament to the processes we have in place and the way in which we collaborate with clients, that we were able to deliver such a great induction programme to their senior leadership team. This project also won a platinum award in the ‘Best Learning Project – Induction’ category.
We also scooped a silver award in the ‘Best Learning Project – Induction’ category, working with Inland Revenue New Zealand. This induction programme included an animated module about working for the Inland Revenue based on a road trip through New Zealand, in addition to a license plate game which taught and tested knowledge of acronyms used within Inland Revenue, and an induction roadmap for new employees to use alongside their line managers.
Drug Free Sport New Zealand was recognised with a gold award in the ‘Best New Technology Implementation - Deployment of a Hosted LMS’ category and a silver award in the ‘Best eLearning Model - Bespoke/Custom’ for their work on New Zealand’s anti-doping eLearning. This eLearning has been developed for athletes who are ‘on the move’ encompassing a responsive theme on their deployment of Totara and within their eLearning modules. The modules were developed using the adapt framework and gives athletes greater opportunity to complete the anti-doping eLearning, which was previously delivered through face-to-face seminars.
Matt Johnson, Managing Director of City & Guilds Kineo, commented
'We're delighted that the LearnX Awards panel has recognised the work we've produced with our clients. This is an extraordinary achievement and my personal thanks goes to everyone who has made it possible. I am particularly proud that the Kineo Pacific team has won a Platinum award for Best eLearning Development Company - quite an accolade'.
Adapt Learning wins Platinum…again
This is the fourth year in a row that Adapt has won a LearnX award in ‘Best Learning Design - eLearning Design Technology’, taking the platinum award again. Officially launched in October 2013 by City & Guilds Kineo, Adapt creates HTML5 elearning courses, which work on any device.
Adapt Learning has evolved into an innovative, collaborative project, led by a group of learning technology organisations, with the aim of collectively using the power of Open Source to create and support an industry-leading tool. Adapt 2.0 was launched in August 2015 offering both performance improvements to existing features as well as delivering significant new functionality. Greatly improved assessments, accessibility, theming and plugins are now included in the core bundle. Kineo Asia-Pacific customers are certainly embracing this technology as they look to meet learner demand and deliver their eLearning to multiple devices, with a range of projects currently underway.
Sven Laux, City & Guilds Kineo's Technical Director and Adapt Learning Project Lead, said
'I am blown away that Adapt has been recognised by the judges as the best eLearning Design Technology for four years in a row.
As an industry, we're only just beginning to harness the power of delivering learning via mobile devices and creating single source, responsive design courses remains a very hot topic. Adapt is making a huge difference in that it is shaking up the e-learning authoring tool market and freely enables non-technical people in low budget scenarios to create high-end, responsive learning materials.
That all said, the best thing about Adapt is the people. Adapt is a fantastic example of what people can achieve when we come together to collaborate in the L&D industry.'
