Powering apprenticeships: how our solutions help run apprentice schemes
Shaping the future of learning
They say that behind every great leader is an equally great other half. We think the same can be said of apprenticeship schemes. We love to create innovative elearning solutions that keep learners truly engaged but it’s important to remember that no matter how good the content is, the system powering the delivery of that learning can make or break its success.
Getting the delivery right
Today’s apprentices have high expectations of technology. They use a vast array of tech in daily life and associate technology with education because that’s been a major medium for learning throughout their school career. That means that the system that they interact with for their learning programmes in the workplace needs to be, at a bare minimum, stable, engaging and intuitive to win their buy-in.
Apprentices need to be able to see and have ownership over a clear learning pathway, but not to be overwhelmed by the depth and breadth of achievement their employer is expecting. The very best elearning will take apprentices on a journey of empowerment intensified by encouragement and reward at the right moments.
Kineo has created a full Managed Learning Service (MLS) called PIVOT for City & Guilds. PIVOT powers thousands of apprenticeship programmes for some of the world’s major employers. For example, KFC was named as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer in 2012. For them, PIVOT is an essential tool that supports a move from dated workbook-based learning to slick digital delivery.
PIVOT is a unique, single dashboard system used for running large scale training and apprenticeship schemes. A combination of three award-winning systems, it features a user-friendly front-end for learners which means traditional elearning can be combined with more interactive delivery.
